Moving the Goalpost: FIFA Board of Directors
As the FIFA World Cup prepares for its 2026 competition, it must face new challenges. Coordinating fair staging between the three host countries is presenting unforeseen setbacks. Because each North American host wants to take the spotlight, delegates in the FIFA committee must determine when, where, and why games take place in each stadium.
Additionally, the 2026 FIFA World Cup has experienced challenges balancing its non-biased political stances with an increased attempt from host countries to politically influence the games. Will FIFA remain unbiased? Will the cup favor one nation over another? Which players will take the spotlight? STAFF
Meet the Chairs!
George Kannenberg ~ Deputy Chair
George is a sophomore at USC studying Political Science with a minor in Business Law. He is from London, England and started his MUN journey in high school and joined USCMUN in his second semester of freshman year. In his first semester, George was an ACD in SCMUN. Outside of MUN, George loves football (soccer), waking up early to watch the Premier League, as well as NFL and traveling to as many new places as possible. He looks forward to a strong TrojanMUN 2026!
Myron Murmanov ~ Crisis Director
I am a third-year student majoring in Urban Studies and Planning, and I am also pursuing a progressive master's degree in the same field with a concentration in transportation. I’m very passionate about planning, design, and mobility equality at both the local and global levels. I am originally from Ukraine, though I graduated from high school in Miami. I am involved in USC’s chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, the Cities Club, and SC Mappers. In my free time, I love visiting art museums, photographing LA’s diverse urban landscapes, and attending raves/concerts. I am also a big fan of sports, and closely follow the Premier League, Champions League, and Formula 1.
