The Reclaimers

Under the shimmering stars and blinding lights of beautiful Los Angeles a tragedy has occurred. In 1998, a high-profile kidnapping had shaken the international community. After thwarting the plot of an anonymous crime lord who goes by the alias Juntao, formal Royal Hong Kong Detective and Chinese Consul Solon Han’s daughter mysteriously vanished on her way to school. American and Chinese officials scrambled to respond. 

Assembling a team of the best investigators in the country, the respondents quickly create a team to track down the kidnappers and quietly solve the crime without an international PR and diplomatic disaster. Will the US operation be successful? As delegates in the Diplomatic Security Division committee, the safety of Consul Han’s daughter, and security of the US’ international standing are imperative. This faction brings together FBI agents, LAPD detectives, Chinese consular security staff, and Interpol allies. The fragmented law enforcement agencies are tasked to dismantle the transnational smuggling and black-market art network, but also a potential diplomatic collapse between the U.S. and China. You will be required to skillfully and rapidly track down, negotiate with, and/or cease the operation of the kidnappers in a manner that is not only concealed from the public, but reflects properly on the trust instilled in you as agents of the United States. You also need to be aware of the jurisdictional clashes, and cultural misunderstandings that threaten internal cohesion. 

You will be engaging in real-time espionage, tactical raids, Public Relations crises, hostage negotiations, and global reputation management. Be on alert, as you battle and chase down the criminals behind the increased crime, the syndicate will be fighting to stop your operations. Diplomatic skill will be imperative in doing so in order to preserve the government’s standing internationally, but also to ensure the wellbeing of the victim.
